Johnny cut his teeth on traditional tattoos, being brought into the game by World Famous Larry Shaw in downtown Houston, Texas. Johnny worked alongside some of the industry’s giants during his years in the business, and invited many guest artists down to Texas to work alongside him at the studio.
He also opened the only stand-alone piercing-only studio — Biolab Piercing — now the most coveted piercing shop in town.

This is the best tattoo shop in Houston. I’ve had 2 tattoos done here and I get the most compliments on them — the latest by Jason Coquel (aka Color Bomb), it’s absolutely gorgeous. The whole staff is polite and courteous, the shop is clean. I will ONLY go to Texas Body Art for future work.
